Compassion Boston
It Is Written is excited to be a part of Compassion Boston and is planning to conduct a series of Bible presentations in Boston during the month of October. It Is Written Speaker/Director John Bradshaw will present this evangelistic series.
Compassion Boston is the name that has been chosen for our multi-year evangelistic experience in Boston. Compassion Boston seeks to introduce the people of Boston to the liberating love of Jesus through acts of kindness, compassion, and the warmth of wholesome fellowship. Compassion Boston will be fashioned after the example of Christ Himself because we recognize that “Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people.” A strong emphasis is being placed on meeting real and felt needs in the city, developing friendships, and emulating the gracious love of Jesus to those we serve. “The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then he bade them, Follow Me.”
It has been said that “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Compassion Boston is focused on letting the people of Boston know how much the Savior cares and how much we care through Christian service. The heart and soul of this work will be person-to-person contact. Compassion Boston seeks to share Christ through systematic community service. In advance of the evangelistic meetings that are scheduled for the fall of 2016, Compassion Boston will focus on meeting the community needs in shelters, pantries, hospital rooms, and at public events.
