Trip Overview

Join Pastor Royce Snyman, retired minister and administrator, and Pastor Chris Anderson, Timor-Leste Mission president, for a once in a lifetime mission trip to one of the newest countries in the world. This country gained its independence from Indonesia on May 20, 2002, becoming the first sovereign state of the 21st century. The Seventh-day Adventist church is itsself in its first generation, and though off to a slow start, is beginning to grow rapidly. This mission trip will be focusing especially on evangelistic outreach events in several locations in the capital city of Dili, and neighboring cities, and other locations as resources allow (up to 6 sites). These evangelistic meetings will combine with Vacation Bible School style children’s program coordinated by Dr. Rachel Nelson, MD, who is also owner of the My Bible First children’s materials.

We will also conduct dental and medical outreach activities in a country where dental care is almost non-existent, and medical care is very limited. An optical clinic is possible, if we are able to find an optemetrist or ophthalmologist to go with us. There is also a building project for a training center that will be included as part of the trip, for those who would like to participate in this way.

Speakers, dental and medical professionals, experienced construction personnel, and support staff are encouraged to be a part of this unusual opportunity to make a significant impact for the everlasting gospel in this part of the world where the Three Angel’s Messages are just beginning to gain a major foothold. You will be able to share Jesus in a variety of ways, and there is something for everyone to contribute. We will work with the local Mission leadership, pastors, and members to bring hope and healing to this area.
