Pastor John Bradshaw - Speaker/Director
On Jan. 1, 2011, Pastor John Bradshaw became the fourth speaker/director of the international It Is Written ministry.
John's experience makes him uniquely suited for the role of speaker/director. His broadcasting career began in his home country of New Zealand, where he worked as a disc jockey on a number of the nation’s top radio stations. He left this job in 1990—propelled by a desire to find Bible-based truth and a deeper Christian experience.
John met his soon-to-be-wife, Melissa, at church, and after their wedding, he began working as a full-time public evangelist. After 12 years, the family—which now included son Jacob and daughter Shannon—decided to put down roots. In the years that followed, John served as pastor of the Lexington, Kentucky, Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as the Village Church near Walla Walla University in Washington.
In his nearly two decades of ministry, John has held more than 80 evangelistic series. For him, nothing matches the joy of introducing others to Christ. "Jesus offers complete transformation," he said. "There's something incredible that happens when His presence consumes a person's life. I love that It Is Written communicates this around the world on a daily basis."
Following the success of the Babylon Rising series, which was held in Las Vegas in May 2011 and broadcast around the world, John presented a month-long series called Revelation Today live from the Cashman Center in Las Vegas in January 2012. In the months that followed, he held meetings in Paris, France and Dayton, Ohio. In 2013, he will preach in Southern Mexico, Costa Rica, Prague and New York City, as well as a month-long, internationally-broadcast series from Charlotte, North Carolina, in October.
Other ongoing projects include Escrito Está, It Is Written's worldwide Spanish-language outreach; the weekly It Is Written television program, seen in more than 143 countries and now available on the Discovery Channel in the United States (Sundays at 7 a.m. Pacific and Eastern); John's weekly From the Bible radio broadcast; the My Place With Jesus Bible study website for kids; and the Eyes for India humanitarian project.
