Overview
The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean nation that shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti to the west. It’s known for its beaches, resorts and golfing. Its terrain comprises rainforest, savannah and highlands, including Pico Duarte, the Caribbean’s tallest mountain. Santo Domingo, the nation’s capital, was founded in 1496 and is one of the top ten oldest countries in the Americas. Currently about 40% of the country lives in poverty with more than 10% living in extreme poverty. Natural disasters have ravished the country historically leaving gaping holes of need.
The Dominican Republic SDA leadership has invited It Is Written to partner with them as they celebrate the 25 year anniversary of their youngest Missions through Conference wide evangelism in 2022 and 2023. We will conduct medical clinics, construction projects and children’s programming both years. This is a trip of a lifetime where you can bring hope and life to the island as God works mightily through you. Prayerfully consider the Dominican Republic!
