It Is Written Receives Two Angel Awards

In April 2007, the Excellence in Media organization presented It Is Written with two silver Angel Awards.
"All the praise belongs to our Lord whenever we receive any honor," said Pastor Shawn Boonstra. "This type of recognition increases the likelihood that other television networks will want to include It Is Written in their programming, and the more people we can reach, the better!"
The two award-winning programs were:
"The House That Was Never Finished"
Original airdate: Oct. 29, 2006
It is one of the strangest homes in the world. Luxuriously located on more than 160 acres, it took 38 years to build, and in reality, it still isn't finished. The only reason it is not still under construction is because the owner is dead. Why did one person need such a large home? And why does it feature some of the strangest construction in the world, including staircases that go nowhere and a window built into the floor?
"With Christ in the Desert"
Original airdate: July 16, 2006
The "San" are a very remote tribe of people living in the Kalahari Desert. A few generations ago, you might have wondered how anyone could ever reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. On today's program, you will meet a man who has gone to the Kalahari Desert and lived among the San people. This is a story you have to hear to believe.
